I approach teaching with enthusiasm and the desire to meet students where they are at to help them build an understanding of the social world. My goal for my students is to have them understand the operations of inequality in a way that will most benefit them as citizens beyond their tenure as students by teaching critical thinking, how to spot social patterns and use theory and observations to create understandings, and by using everyday life as an example whenever possible.
